I specialize in tutoring Mathematics and Computer Science and have extensive experience tutoring in these two areas. I first began tutoring in high school in order to help friends who were struggling with their coursework and later tutored formally as a teaching assistant at the State University of New York Stony Brook.As for my qualifications beyond experience, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. I also hold a deep and abiding interest in the logical resolution of problems. With Mathematics and Computers, solutions are found by following the proper steps. If a student masters these steps through practice and hard work, he or she will be guaranteed good results. Getting my students to focus on the minute details is what I do in order to help them reach overall success. I tutor students of all ages in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Trigonometry, Java, Technology and Computer Science, and other areas as needed. I can also help students in AP Calculus AB and those who are preparing for the SAT.During my breaks from tutoring, I unwind with video games, books, and playing sports like soccer and tennis.
